Voir la plateforme European Lexicography in the Middle Ages (ELMA).
Lindsay.
Announcement in English
We are delighted to announce an online version of the Corpus Glossariorum Latinorum (ed. G. Goetz) with handwritten addenda by Wilhelm Heraeus and Wallace M. Lindsay. The project is a collaboration between the Laboratoire Histoire des théories linguistiques (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) and the Thesaurus linguae Latinae (Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities), where the volumes are kept. At the moment searchable PDF’s are available for download, and we plan to improve the interface over time.
Goetz’s Corpus glossariorum Latinorum remains a fundamental repository of ancient and early medieval Latin glossography, also including glosses in Greek and Old English. It documents several centuries of Greco-Roman scholarship and lexicography, language contact, and the development of these languages over time. The addenda and marginalia by Heraeus and Lindsay have not been published before, and they require some patience to use. Nevertheless, we hope they will be of use to scholars and that the searchable PDF’s will facilitate wider access to this important body of evidence.
